Sydbank Arena


The site for the European Championships 2017 is the Sydbank Arena, located in the City of Kolding. This great and compact site fully meets the requirements for this event.
Sydbank Arena has been undergoing expansion in order to become one of Denmark’s largest indoor arenas. For the Championships in 2017 it will have a capacity of 5,000
spectators.

This state-of-the-art arena meets all the demands of a modern indoor arena. This includes a VIP balcony, sky boxes, latest light and sound technology as well as perfect opportunities for TV-production.

The arena is 42 x 43 metres (1.800 sqm) with a height of 10 metres. The arena has been used for many sporting and cultural events and is the home court for reigning Danish
handball champions KIF Kolding København.

The arena has 10 lounge-rooms suitable for up to 12 persons with exclusive view over the arena along with the length of the court Sydbank Arena is connected with Hall 2 and Hall 3, each with 5-6 badminton courts.
The venue complex also has a restaurant, several conference rooms, tennis courts, wrestling room, bowling, gym facilities and more.
